OMG! The new Too Faced palette by beauty-guru Nikkie Tutorials has landed! Available online a week ago today, thanks to Sephora I’ve already got my hands on one of the vibrant kits before they’re bound to sell out. This cult collection includes 9 eye shadows, 2 shades of Love Flush Blush, a highlighter and bronzer, as well as a mini Better than Sex mascara in limited edition purple, a full size Sketch Marker liquid eyeliner, mini Shadow Insurance primer, and a little pot of glamour glitter dust. *screams!*

The new kit isn’t available in the UK, and probably won’t be, so if you want one too you’ll need to consider shipping and taxes from the US. You can ship direct from Too Faced, or from Sephora, which offers easy shipping and transparent fees to the UK. For a shopping basket over £75, you’ll pay a flat rate to ship of just £6. It can be pricey on rates, but if you go in with a mate and do a big order it’s more cost effective. Do yourself a favour and order Sephora’s Liquid Eyeliner when you’re there too – it’s amaze!

So, if you’re wondering whether it’s worth parting with your hard-earned cash, here’s the need to know on Nikkie’s kit. Unlike many inclusive themed kits, this one actually has a pretty broad spectrum of shades, making it a good travel palette and easy to take you from daytime to evening looks. It’s actually pretty good value too when you consider the extra bits and bobs. I’d been keen to the try the eyeliner for a while so this was the perfect opportunity. I’m a sucker for highly pigmented eye shadows – the sparklier the better – and this kit does not disappoint. My favourite so far is the deep gold shade ‘Irresistible’, super pretty to wear alone, or build into a smokey eye with the black ‘Wanted’. The neutral shades ‘Painkiller’ and ‘Makeup & Chill’ I’m sure will be a daytime go-to mixed with a little ‘Ivy’ buffed into the crease.

In the above image, I’ve swatched each shade with just one swipe, so you can see how rich and pigmented the colours are. Add a dab of the included Shadow Insurance 24-hour Eye Primer in advance and you’ll get even more pay off, allowing the creation of some super vibrant looks. My order arrived after only a few days so I couldn’t wait to try out my new toy!

Keen to get stuck in, I opted for the gold shade ‘Irresistible’ accords the lid, with the wicked purple ‘Wham Bam’ buffed into the crease in a smokey cut. I was pleased to try out the limited edition purple Better than Sex mascara on my lower lashes and find it’s a subtle aubergine hue as opposed to full-on purple. For a vampy look, I smudged ‘Mystic Hour’ into my lower lash line which is such a stunning petrol colour with sassy peacock shimmer. Finishing the look I used the holographic glitter dust and Too Faced eye liner, which for a felt tip applicator I was pretty impressed by! Success!
