Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm | review

Ever have a product that you forget about only to rediscover and totally fall in love with? I did just that with Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm. After finishing up one of my cleansing oils I decided to have a rummage in the cabinet before splashing out on something new, and came across this little tube I had totally forgotten about and Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm is about as soothingly gorgeous as it sounds…

Carefully formulated to remove make-up and cleanse the skin this Melting Cleansing Balm is just £16.50 direct from the Merumaya site and can also be picked up in John Lewis. Harnessing sweet almond oil, echinus oil, omegas and anti oxidants this goey, smooth balm melts into skin doing a really great job of removing all traces of make-up, even Urban Decay’s All Nighter foundation, and turns milky when it meets water, making it super easy to wash off.

Unlike many other facial oils or balms I’ve used, this one doesn’t leave a residue or sticky feeling – which is so important if you’re cleansing in the morning before using a non-oil-based foundation as it can really cause havoc with your make-up and leave you at risk of a cakey face (where your make-up starts slipping and separating). Having recently rediscovered this product kicking about my cabinet I’ve been using it a couple of weeks and am really loving it – definitely recommended!
