I’ve been lusting after the Jefree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks for months after following the fabulous queen himself for a while on Instagram. Anyone that knows me (or has been clubbing with me) will appreciate my love of over the top sassy glamour, and how I’m drawn to the uber skills of drag make-up. Anyway, I finally decided to purchase the shade ‘Androgyny’…
I picked Androgyny as the most wearable shade to intro me to the range, and it also seemed like one of the most popular too. A sold out shade, these should cost $18, which is around £12.50, but I was * forced * to pick mine up from EBay, nicely lining the sellers pocket with near on £35 (ouch).
Satisfied that I’d got hold of a genuine product I couldn’t wait to apply it – and as it had turned up to my work address I actually ended up pulling over at a service station on my way to a meeting to apply it in the car as couldn’t wait! I really wanted to love this product with every bone in my body, and I’m so pleased to report that it ticks all the boxes; cute packaging, beautiful colour, insanely easy to apply, and lasts all day without crumbling like some other liquid lipsticks I’ve tried. Am. In. Love.
Something I wasn’t expecting was just how easy this is to apply, the gloss-style soft wand makes it a breeze to apply the product over your lips creating a seamlessly smooth line, no weird wobbly uneven strokes that you can get with liner and lipstick – the formula almost encouraged a stronger, fuller line – no complaints!
Another major plus of this product is no embarrassing lipstick on your teeth moments, it sticks to your lips (but isn’t sticky) but barely transfers elsewhere, so my coffee cup stayed smear free in my meeting, and when I got back home about 5/6 hours later, it looked like I’d only just applied it. Amazing.
I found Jeffee Star has one retailer in the UK, Cocktail Cosmetics, where you pick the lipsticks up for a much more reasonable £14, so it’s worth keeping an eye on their social pages for the release of colours in stock.
This shade is so pretty! Have you tried Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick? Trying to choose between the two X

Ooh, hard to pick – I have ABH in Pure Hollywood which is a more subtle shade; but the colour pay off is better with Jefree Star! X
