Super-exciting news for cruelty-free lipstick lovers with the ten new shades that have been added to the Too Faced La Creme colour drenched range. With a total now at a whopping 32 choices this season, there is definitely a colour for everyone. As well as being cruelty-free and housed in the cutest packaging, Too Faced La Creme lipstick is also an excellent choice for those that need a little extra hydration – so basically everyone in the UK in winter! I picked the sassy berry shade WHAM! to to try ahead of the UK availability.
Rich and creamy, the La Creme colours promise to give the staying power of a stain, but with the added moisture-effect of a balm, all packaged in a pretty gold case. I’ve got a couple of the shades already and am really pleased with the colour pay off. I chose this shade WHAM! as the berry-shade-lipstick-magpie in me sat up and took immediate notice of its beautifully burgundy, while fabulously fuchsia shine.
I wouldn’t normally go for a shimmering/metallic formula -most likely because of over-wearing a Jennifer Aniston orange shimmer, circa 1990’s – but this pretty purple slick didn’t come without it, so while putting thoughts of Rachel away, I bravely went for it, and I’m glad I did. The glitter is smooth, and very subtle – simply offering dimensions to the colour, and strangely a more everyday look. The pay off really is like a stain/balm, and I was able to wear this shade through lunch with no real slip. Applying once more and I was good for the whole day!
